What does financial health have to do with a game of chess?
A lot, in fact, especially to me. I wasn’t born some kind of money guru , much like the fact that most of what I know about chess, I learned quite recently from watching The Queen’s Gambit.
Both money and chess are a long game. In chess, the end goal is to win. You want to quickly turn your pawns into kings and defend your king.
LIkewise with money, there’s a long-term goal: wealth. You also need to know your mid and short-term goals and create a strategy to move along that path.
Both require patience and discipline. Sometimes, it may seem boring, but holding steadfast to the tactics you’ve developed to implement your plan will pay off in the end.
The game of chess is quite a study, similarly with money. There’s a reason finance is the biggest industry in the world. Wealthy people hire people to manage their money versus trying to do it all themselves.
